Select a Competence Assessment Tool
Each Competence Assessment Tool is underpinned by The Code: Standards of conduct, performance and ethics (NMC 2008) and the competency domains have been mapped to the dimensions of KSF to assist individuals with their annual KSF development review meetings. You can use your assessment results to help you provide evidence for your annual KSF development review meetings. You can then agree your learning and development outcomes, with your line manager, which are relevant to your KSF post outline.
It is not neccessary to score yourself against all the statements within a competence assessment tool. You may use the search facility to find competence statements, across the existing assessment tools that are relevant to your role and area of practice, which you can then assess yourself against.
